FAVR Approvals

All project approvals will occur on FAVR.
Your project will be eligible for approval only after you fill out and finalize all the tabs, and upload any additional required documents. When your record is complete, the links to "Request signature" will appear in the signature table.
Your parent or guardian must give consent for your participation.
The parent approval is performed in a simple fashion. When an adult whose only role is "parent" logs in, they will see a simple approval form.
All other adults will approve via the FAVR Review tab on the project.
When the student clicks on each "Request signature" link, an email is sent to the approver. That email provides them a link for FAVR which predefines the email address they should use. (This is to avoid confusion as to which email is used.)

When the adult logs in, they will first see their profile page, which must be filled out. (This is not true for the parent.) Once that is done, their dashboard will show the project(s) requiring their approval. When they click on a project, they will see the Review tab, with a link to approve the project. After they click on that, an approval form will open, personalized to their specific role.

Note that all approvers can specify the date of approval. By default, this is set to the current day, but they can choose any earlier date if appropriate. This can be important, since you should not start work (on any project) until you have permission from all the adults involved.
Request an SRC Review
Once all your signatures are in place and any required additional documents are uploaded, you will see a button near the bottom of the Review tab to request a review by the Scientific Review Committee (SRC).

The result of that review will be displayed below that button, after the review is complete. If changes are requested, make sure you make the changes expeditiously.
NOTE that for some projects you must have SRC approval before you begin your work. For other projects, you may begin your work after you have all your required signatures.
